Generally speaking, all projects are quoted based on client’s needs.

Actual costs of your video will depend on the equipment needed and the crew needed as well as the actual length of the video

Typically, video production requires 4 hours of editing to produce 1 minute of video, depending upon the need for color correction and other digital effects. When you shoot with multiple cameras, matching the footage requires more time. When you shoot an interview, for example, with one camera, the task is much simpler.

Needs for special equipment, lighting, camera cars, travel or multiple operators all factor into the costs.

As a very rough estimate, we’re performing “interview” videos about 2 minutes in length (as found under our “Legal Videos” tab) for around $2000 complete, including output.

GENERAL RANGE:

You’re always afraid to ask...that’s ok, we’ll cite some recent examples for you.

Basic videos start at around $750. This typically means 1 camera operator for a couple of hours and editing a 1-2 minute piece. Videos running 4 minutes in length require more camera time and are usually around $1200-1800.

General automotive videos using 1-2 camera operators filming for 4-8 hours and producing a 5 minute video are being quoted in the $2500-$4500 range.

Bigger projects that require 6+ camera operators require additional staff such as production generally start in the $20,000+ range.

As a more elaborate example, a series of six DVD’s shot on location, out of state, requiring six camera operators with 10 cameras cost the client $42,000. Not surprisingly, our bid was 40% less than the next closest bidder using like equipment.

We don’t profess to be the cheapest, but are rates are certainly more than competitive. With bigger production houses, you are paying an inordinate amount of your production costs for more elaborate equipment they’re purchasing. We have already fully amortized our equipment and thus are able now to pass along these savings to our clients.
