In case you haven’t guessed, yes, automotive videos are our specialty. By and large, we are usually asked to cover racing events. There’s no story board...nothing. As a result, we typically go for the artistic shot and add in some music.
We’ve done road rallies, drag racing, road racing and canyon run videos for a wide range of clients.
Something unique to us is the type of cameras we use. We have 8 High Definition cameras of the “bullet type.” These little bad boys produce video in full HDV quality...1920 x 1080 canvass size with superb color. They go anywhere...we’ve attached them in many compromising positions.

“You’re a joy to work with...we learned so much beyond how to create a good video!” Rich L, Gloss It CEO/Founder
This video is the first in a multi part series of approximately 12-20 videos. In this case, the client chose to ad lib dialog, film at his shop rather than at a studio to ‘keep it real’ and felt the need to provide extensive graphical instructions to supplement the verbal dialog in light of the highly detailed process. .
“Wow....you really captured the spirit of the event....it gave us goose bumps!” Ramin A., Gold Rush Rally”
This client needed a shop profile that showcased their racing heritage, experience and how that passion, knowledge and enthusiasm is embraced by all of their staff. They left the entire creative process to us.
“Incredible job...you made our cars look dead sexy!” Carsten P, Spyker Cars, North America
Spyker (who just bought SAAB) touts their cars as being built for discriminating clients. Catering to a first class clientele, we were contracted to produce a series of event-coverage DVD’s. This was an experiment. Budgets were small, demands were very defined and distribution of the finished piece would be exclusive. We delivered on time, on budget and the clients were thrilled to have their Spyker experience immortalized on DVD.

Capturing Ride and Drive events is a specialty...but often many companies think it’s out of their budget range. We’re scaleable, large or small. The number of cameras and amount of staff depends on the client’s budget and needs. We’ve done events with as few as three staffers to as many as 15.

DVD PRODUCTION:
Hired to produce a DVD from 8 hours of shooting on a runway, the event was rained out after just two hours. Yet we still had to produce an hour long DVD.
“I couldn’t be more pleased with how our DVD project turned out. Despite the rain out, somehow, you made it shine.” Joel F., Feingold Productions

Today, my team consists largely of professionals formerly employed by big production houses and film students.
CORPORATE VIDEO
With an extensive roster of existing high definition footage, we can offer something unique, a practice that paid dividends for one client in particular. The Motorsports Country Club of Colorado came to us with a concept for a facility...that wasn’t even built yet. How do you produce a video with no footage of an actual facility? The simple answer was that we have an extensive library of multi purpose footage. With our script writing and visual imagery, we delivered this project in two weeks from start of production.
This is what the client had to say:
“Somehow, you pulled it off...considering we hadn’t turned a shovel of dirt yet, the vision of our facility plan is spectacularly showcased here.” Tim G., Motorsports Country Club

“The video was amazing. So good in fact we’re going to come to you for all of our video needs.” W.Douglas Easton, Attorney at Law
Attorney videos are another niche that embraces rich media. With only seconds to influence the decision of Google-searchers, while a picture says a thousand words, a video says a million. Here’s one example of a client who was not only good on camera, but who embraced our notion of citing a case example in which the client prevailed. Powerfully motivating, the client has since indicated their desire to have us fulfill all of their video needs.
MOTORSPORTS
You’ve seen it...that amazing in car footage from Formula 1. And you’ve also seen that low res version that amateurs post on YouTube. Which do you want for your project? What separates us from other companies is our insistence on using High Definition footage. While there are tons of cameras that can shoot in car or on car video, the low resolution versions do not produce the images we’re looking for. As a result, we focus on procuring the best imagery possible followed by careful post production. If you’re running an event or even participating in one, we can procure this imagery and enhance it with in car data acquisition.
The client responded with: “Loved it. We didn’t even know you were allowed to film there!”

This example was for a charitable organization.
The client sent us a nice note:
“It was touching...the music, the mood, the spirit, all communicated the sincerity and appreciation of those involved.” R. Gordon, OneGeneration

ATTORNEY VIDEO SAMPLE
First draft of the video shot for Kuvara Law Firm. Isabella Hoffman (the actress) stars.
Kuvara Testimonial from thinkAlchemy on Vimeo.
One of my favorite legal videos I’ve done....this one required all sorts of footage (that the client did not have access to), so it required some resourcefulness to acquire the footage and remain on budget.
Originally shot outdoors, we had to move indoors because of ambient noise. The client’s office was small and not very photogenic. Nevertheless, we made do.

GOLD RUSH, THE DVD
Another over land road rally. Client contracted us to cover their rally...on a shoestring budget...for three days. Working with a chase car and an assistant camera operator, the two of us were able to capture the spirit of the event to the client’s satisfaction. No easy feat, considering that the convoy of cars was spread out over 20 miles during the 800 mile road trip.

RUNWAY TITANS, THE DVD
Ok....dilemma. What happens when a client comes to you and says “We want you to film our cars doing 200 mph on a runway...but we only have 2 hours. Oh, and I need to show some hot girls as part of the video so I can sell a cool DVD. Oh, and our budget is modest?” We made it work...and enjoyed every minute of it. Here is a trailer for the DVD.

I have a confession...I love car show videos. These are built with one purpose: pander to the YouTube audience to procure views. In this case, our client (StreetFire.net) insists that pretty girls, music and hot cars is the recipe for a successful video. Hey, the client is always right.

The original Ken Block Gymkhana video procured 27,000,000 views on YouTube alone. We were invited to film the Premier of the sequel...I know, I know...a “Premier” for a web video? The actual video they launched had a $125,000 budget and took 2 weeks to film.

A good example of a low budget, talking head, “interview” video. All the extra footage was from my High Definition library.

Shot with handheld cameras while out with some friends, this was as much a practice session for a pending road rally as anything else.

A good example of trying to make something from nothing. Drag racing is the most boring sport on earth to watch. In the absence of any worthwhile interviews or storyline, this video had little choice but to become a music video with a contrived plot.
GTR vs The World from Craig Lieberman on Vimeo.
Shot as a tribute to the guy featured in the video, I chose a “Matrix” theme for this little race day piece. I don’t know what compelled me to go down that path, but here it is nonetheless.
